Swimsuit by James Patterson

SwimsuitSwimsuit by James Patterson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The plot was unique, and it’s been a while since I’ve read a book where I hated the villain(s). The bad guys in this book are vile and atrocious. Actually, I don’t know how James Patterson (or Maxine Paetro?) can write something so disgusting. I gave it 4 stars because it at least captured my attention, and the author did his job of making the villain a villain that you hate.

Carte Blanche by Jeffery Deaver

Carte Blanche (James Bond, #37)Carte Blanche by Jeffery Deaver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved the story, but being a Jeffery Deaver fan you kind of doubt what you’re reading and don’t take anything at face value, so any suspense or surprises he wants to throw at you you kind of expect. I guess the only surprise left is the “how”, like “how did he figure out what the enemy was thinking?” And I always love how he usually has 2 villains in a novel: the obvious one, and the “real” villain behind the scenes.

This has become my favorite James Patterson series. It’s like the Von Trapp family crossed with Patterson’s crime novels.

Another good Alex Cross story. Fast-paced as always, and the villain is so despicable you can’t wait for him to get caught.

Alex Cross’s Trial by James Patterson and Richard DiLallo

Alex Cross's Trial (Alex Cross, #15)Alex Cross’s Trial by James Patterson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is different from the usual crime novels that I like from James Patterson, but I love the story as well. I know this is fiction but I think it’s based on some truths, especially the dark history of lynchings in the US. It’s hard to believe such horrors happened in what is now the most powerful country in the world. Let us not forget such atrocities so that it may never happen again.

Worst Case by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge

Worst Case (Michael Bennett, #3)Worst Case by James Patterson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved it. It was a fast-paced book as any other James Patterson book should be but I really like the action in this one. If there were down times it was about character development which I didn’t find boring. Villain was bad guy with a mission and a message to the world. It actually makes you think about what’s happening to the world today.
